The short version: we collect only what we need to take and ship your order. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and never reaches us. We don't sell your personal information. Our site shows ads from Google, which use cookies, and you can opt out of personalized ads.

This policy explains how Equip For Zero ("we", "us") handles information on equipforzero.com (the "site").

Information we collect

Order details. When you check out, you give Stripe your name, email address, shipping address and payment details. We receive your name, email, shipping address and the items you ordered. We never see or store your full card number.
Sign-in (optional). If you sign in to view your orders, Google tells us your verified email address and first name. We do not receive your Google password or any other Google data. We do not keep a separate account database: your email is used to find your paid orders in our payment records, and a login cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days or until you sign out.
Messages. If you email us, we keep your message and our reply.
Your cart. Your cart is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it's still there if you come back. It isn't sent to us until you check out.
Where you came from. If you arrive through one of our ads or links, the web address may carry a short tag such as the campaign name. We remember the tag in your own browser (local storage) for up to 30 days and send it to us with your order, so we can tell which ads are worth running. It contains no personal information, and we do not share it with anyone.
Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and security services see your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.

How we use it

to take payment, print and ship your order, and email you receipts, tracking and replies to your questions (an email address is required to place an order),
to answer questions and handle replacements and refunds,
to prevent fraud and keep the site secure,
to keep records for tax, accounting and legal requirements, and
to show advertising that helps fund the site.

Who we share it with

We share information only with companies that help us run the store:

Stripe processes payments and sends receipts. See Stripe's privacy policy.
Printful prints and ships your order, so it receives your name, shipping address, email and order details. See Printful's privacy policy.
Email and support tools. Messages you send us are handled by our email provider and may also be read or answered by automated support tools or other service providers working for us.
Shipping carriers receive your name and address to deliver your package.
Cloudflare delivers and protects the site, so it handles site traffic.
Scryfall provides card data and images. When you search for a card, your browser contacts Scryfall directly, so Scryfall sees your IP address and your search. See Scryfall's privacy policy.
Google supplies the fonts on this site, the optional sign-in on the My orders page, and the ads we show (see below).

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or others. We don't sell your personal information.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads on this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or at aboutads.info.

If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you'll see a consent message from Google where required, and you can change your choice at any time.
We may also show banners from sponsors we deal with directly. Those links are marked as sponsored.

Apart from advertising and Stripe's checkout, the only cookie our own site sets is the login cookie described above, and only if you sign in. We don't use analytics tools. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the site's checkout may not work without them.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, except where we need to keep it (for example, order records we're required to keep). Email us at [email protected] and we'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, such as California, you may have additional rights under local law, and we'll honor them as the law requires. We won't treat you differently for using them.

How long we keep information

We keep order records for as long as we need them to run the store and to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements, then delete them or remove identifying details.

Children

The site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, and payments run on Stripe's secure checkout. No website or service can promise perfect security.

Where information is handled

We're based in the United States and ship only to U.S. addresses. If you visit from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new "last updated" date.
